If reports emerging on the web are to be believed, Japanese auto-maker Honda is likely to expand its Jazz premium hatchback portfolio in India with the addition of top-of-the-line variant Jazz RS.
Honda Jazz, which was launched in the subcontinent market in July 2015, is likely to get the new Jazz RS variant in the country soon, reports NDTV Auto. The car-maker is likely to introduce it at the Auto Expo 2016, which will take place in February.
Honda Jazz RS, a variant of Jazz similar to the Mobilio RS, is currently on sale in Indonesia. The Jazz RS is expected to come with features like a new bumper with LED headlamps with automatic levelling, chrome grille, power-folding ORVMs with LED turning signals and new alloy wheels. The feature list of the Jazz RS could also include an engine start-stop button, a 6.2-inch touchscreen Audio Visual Navigation system, cruise control and keyless entry.
Under the hood, the Honda Jazz RS hatchback is likely to be powered by the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor, which pumps 98.6bhp of power and 200Nm torque. In the current Jazz in the market, the transmission is taken care of by six-speed manual transmission in the diesel model. The diesel variant is rated to return a mileage of 27.3kmpl.
The new Jazz RS will get a price tag slightly higher than the current model in the market.
