Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) announced that the company's 125cc offering— CB Shine SP — has crossed 1 lakh unit sales in the country. CB Shine SP achieved the new milestone in just nine months from its launch.
"Following the legacy of CB Shine, the CB Shine SP is one of the highest contributors in terms of volume towards the growth of 125cc category(April'16-August'16). With appreciation from more than 1Lac happy customers, CB Shine SP with an extra dose of sporty style, performance, features and striking looks makes it very special in the segment," said YS Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales & Marketing, HMSI.
Priced at Rs. 60,432 (Ex-showroom Delhi), CB Shine SP was launched in November 2015. It comes in three variants — CB Shine SP Self-Drum-Alloy, CB Shine SP Self-Disc-Alloy and CB Shine CBS. The 125cc offering is available in five colours — Athletic Blue Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic, Black, Pearl Amazing White and Rebel Red Metallic.
Honda CB Shine SP 125 comes powered with a 124.73cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that also does the duty in the regular Shine, developing 10.57bhp at 7,500rpm and 10.3Nm of torque at 5500rpm. It comes with five-speed gearbox and features 5 step adjustable suspension, decals on the fuel tank and black grab rails.
CB Shine SP measures 2,007mm in length, 762mm in width, 1085mm in height and 1266mm wheelbase. The motorcycle boasts of 160mm ground clearance, 124 kg kerb weight and a 10.5-litre petrol tank.
