Bookings for Honda's upcoming 160cc motorcycle CB Hornet 160R has reportedly begun in the country ahead of its possible launch in December.
The latest reports on the web indicate Honda is preparing to launch its final product of the year 2015 by December. Although it was speculated earlier that the CB Hornet would make its market debut with the new 125cc CB Shine SP, the company has already launched the latter.
Honda CB Hornet, a 160cc motorcycle unveiled at Honda RevFest in August, will get power from a 162.71cc single-cylinder engine that can churn out 14.5Bhp of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 14.61Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. CB Unicorn has the same engine.
Honda CB Hornet 160R, which takes design cues from the CX-01 concept that debuted at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo, will feature a muscular fuel tank, a digital meter, an X-shaped LED tail-lamp and a wire Rear Tyre.
To be pitted against Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache, Bajaj Pulsar 150 and Yamaha FZ in India, CB Hornet will come with Honda eco technology (HET).
A report on Indian Autos Blog suggests CB Hornet 160R's launch could take place in early December. The report also adds that dealers of the company in the country have started accepting bookings for the model with a down payment of Rs 5,000.
