Honda Cars India posted a 3.61% decline in domestic sales at 14,712 units in November as compared to 15,263 units in November 2014.
The company sold 461 units of its small car Brio in November 2015, while Amaze and City recorded sales of 4,106 units and 6,342 units, respectively. The company's new premium hatchback, Jazz, recorded a sale of 3,367 units in November and Mobilio (its first MPV) sales stood at 393 units.
Besides, Honda sold 43 units of CRV, its sports utility vehicle (SUV). Exports of Honda in November 2015 stood at 120 units, taking the company's total sales in November 2015 to 14,832 units.
The company registered cumulative domestic sales of 1, 32,095 units during the April-November 2015 period against 1,16,705 units for the corresponding period last year, marking a growth of 13%.
Meanwhile, Hyundai Motors India registered a 6% increase in sales at 57,661 units in November 2015 as compared to 54,290 units sold in November 2014.
Hyundai's domestic sales last month witnessed a growth of 23% at 43,651 units as against 35,511 units sold in November 2014. The company's exports in November, 2015 declined 25.4% to 14,010 units as against 18,779 units in the same period last year.
"Hyundai achieved cumulative 4 million domestic sales milestone with strong performance of 43,651 units this month, growing by 23% over last year, on the strength of strong demand for its new age youthful product portfolio, led by CRETA, i20, Grand i10 and good festive season," said HMIL senior vice-president (sales and marketing) Rakesh Srivastava.
