Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) has posted 14.9% growth in India this year at 1.90 lakh units during the January-November period.
The company which sells six models - premium hatchback Jazz and small car Brio, sedans City and Amaze, MPV Mobilio and premium SUV CR-V in India sold over 1,90,000 units till November as against the 1,79,816 units in 2014.
"HCIL has grown by 14.9 per cent during the January-November 2015 with cumulative sales of 1,90,024 units as against 1,65,388 units for the corresponding period last year," PTI quoted Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Honda Cars India.
In November, the company had sold 461 units of its small car Brio, while Amaze and City recorded sales of 4,106 units and 6,342 units, respectively. The company's new premium hatchback, Jazz, recorded a sale of 3,367 units in November and Mobilio (its first MPV) sales stood at 393 units.
Japanese car manufacturer Honda's Indian subsidiary also joined the price hike bandwagon and increased the prices of its models by up to Rs 16,000 starting from 1 January 2016. The increase in price will vary depending upon the model.
