Honda cars India has announced a new extended warranty scheme for its customers in the country, which will allow the owners to extend their warranty for seven years.
Dubbed 'Any Time Warranty', the new scheme is available for cars which are less than seven years old and the vehicles which have clocked 1, 00,000 kms. The extension in warranty is by 1 year/20,000 km. The plan needs to be purchased one month before the existing warranty of the car expires or anytime within the first 7 years. It covers repair or replacement cost if the defective parts fall under the warranty. The Extended Warranty is also transferable and the cost of the warranty will depend on the model.
The models that are covered under the new Any Time Warranty scheme are City, Amaze, Mobilio, Brio and CR-V. The scheme also includes discontinued cars like Civic, Accord and the Jazz.
Honda recently launched its Amaze CNG with a price tag of ₹599,585 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) has been specially tuned for CNG compatibility by way of optimising the suspension and a specially prepared wiring harnesses to ensure high level of quality. Amaze is also offered in India in both petrol and diesel engines. Under the hood, the petrol variant of Amaze gets 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine and the diesel model comes with a 1.5 i-DTEC engine.
