Honda cars, which is in its expansion mode in the country, has inaugurated a new dealership in Thane.
The new facility Regent Honda in Thane is spread over 24,800 sq ft and its houses a showroom and a State of the art workshop with 21 workshop bays. The new showroom is a 3S to provide the complete range of Honda services to its customers - sales, service and spare parts. With the latest showroom, Honda's dealership network in India reaches to 205 in 133 cities. By 2016, Honda plans to expand its network by adding 100 new.
"This inauguration is a part of our commitment towards expanding dealer and customer support networks across the country," Jnaneswar Sen, Sr Vice President at Honda Cars India Ltd, told NDTV "We are confident that this new state-of-the-art facility will cater to the growing demand for Honda cars and help customers enjoy more choice, convenience and the latest in car sales and service industry for an enhanced ownership experience."
Honda's current portfolio in India includes Brio, Amaze, Mobilio, City and CR-V. Amongst this, Honda Amaze and City sedan have been earning tremendous response in the country since its launch.
In November, Honda posted a growth of 64% in its domestic sales. Last month, Honda had sold 15,263 units against the 9,332 sold in the corresponding period in 2013.
The company also registered an overall growth of 46% during April-November, at 1,16,705 units as opposed to 80,163 units during the same period last year.
