The four-cylinder 1,198cc i-VTEC petrol develops 86.7bhp at 6,000rpm and 109Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The four-cylinder 1,498cc i-DTEC diesel engine develops 99bhp at 3,600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm.

Japanese auto maker Honda will pull the wraps off its new Amaze in India Thursday, 3 March. The new Amaze, the first major revamp of the compact sedan since its launch in India in 2013, carries high expectations of regaining the charm of the model in its highly competitive segment.
The Amaze facelift is the company's first launch of 2016 in India. The Amaze, which rivals Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Tata Zest and Ford Figo Aspire in the domestic market, is expected to incorporate changes both inside and outside.
While the exterior of the new Amaze is likely to include new bumper front grille and newly-designed tail lamps, the cabin of the facelifted avatar of the compact sedan is speculated to get an all new dashboard derived from the BR-V SUV, touchscreen entertainment system, automatic climate control and 2-DIN music system.
Under the bonnet, the new Amaze is likely to pack the same 1,198cc i-VTEC petrol and a1,498cc i-DTEC diesel engines. The four-cylinder 1,198cc i-VTEC petrol develops 86.7bhp at 6,000rpm and 109Nm of torque at 4,500rpm available with five-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The four-cylinder 1,498cc i-DTEC diesel engine develops 99bhp at 3,600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm mated to five-speed manual transmission.
