Japanese auto maker Honda is planning to give a mild makeover to its Amaze and Brio in India.
A Team BHP report reveals that Honda will update its Popular Amaze sedan and entry level Brio in the country soon. Although we are not sure when we will see the new updated models on the road, rumours suggest that the cars will reach its dealerships soon.
Mechanically, both Amaze and Brio will remain the same.
Honda Brio
The Honda Brio hatchback packs a 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine, which gives 87 bhp power at 6,000 rpm and 110 Nm torque at 4,500 rpm with a five-speed manual automatic transmission system. The vehicle gives fuel efficiency of 16.5 kilometres per litre for automatic transmission and 19.4 kilometres per litre for manual transmission.
Changes Expected
Honda Brio is likely to get a new body colour - Majestic Blue and new ORVMs. While the EX variants of the car will get new combi-meter, the S-variant will receive a double horn along with combi-meter. The S trim of Brio will lose out on front and rear mudguards, and seat-back pocket and the company will omit the tachometer in the E variant. The centre sash tape on the EX Brio will also be deleted.
Honda Amaze
Under the hood, the petrol variant of Amaze gets 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine and the diesel model comes with a 1.5 i-DTEC engine.
Changes Expected
The car will get new Golden Brown shade instead of Crystal Black Pearl colour and will also see newly designed OVRMs. The EX, S and VX trims' Combi-meter will get white illumination, blue gradation and white pointer, while the E variant will miss out Tachometer, rear grab rails and door center sash tape.
