It has been a while since we talked anything about Honda Activa scooter and now we are here with an interesting piece of information. The latest buzz on the web suggests that Honda's popular scooter Activa 125 currently enjoys a waiting period of up to six months in India.
When it comes to scooters, Honda Activa holds a special place in the hearts of Indians and that is probably one of the reasons Activa has managed to stay ahead of competition. Now a recent report of CarTrade notes that Honda's latest offering in the 125cc scooter segment commands a waiting period of upto six months like its other Activa line-up. Apparently for instant delivery, dealers are charging a premium of 10,000 on the original price.
Honda Activa, which started its India journey in 2001, is currently available in 110cc and 125 cc variants in the country. The Activa 125, the range-topping model, entered the market in April and has been getting tremendous response since then.
Speaking of 125 Activa, it is powered by a 125cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine, which can churn out a power of 8.6bhp at 6,500rpm and a peak torque of 10.12 Nm at 5,500rpm and comes mated to a V-Matic CVT transmission.
Activa 125 promises a fuel efficiency of 60-65kmpl and is offered in two variants - Standard (with drum brakes) and Deluxe (disc brakes & alloys). Activa 125 Standard carries a price tag of ₹58,142 (ex-showroom, Bangalore) and the Deluxe Variant is priced at ₹64,413 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).
