Homeland season 7 is scheduled to premiere on February 11 at 9 pm EST. The official synopsis and trailer teases a rivalry between former CIA officer Carrie Mathison and the newly-elected President Elizabeth Keane.

At the end of last season, following an assassination attempt on her life, President Keane broke her promise to Carrie by arresting 200 members of the intelligence community without bringing charges against them, including Saul Berenson. As season seven begins, Carrie has left her job in the White House and moved back to D.C. and is living with her sister Maggie to take on the Keane administration and secure the release of the 200.

The trailer for the seventh season also features a rivalry between the former CIA officer and the newly-elected president. "The country is in freefall, tearing itself apart," Carrie says in the promo.
The footage also shows Brett O'Keefe planning his move against President Keane. "The founding fathers foresaw the dark day when we would face a president like her. Anyone who takes a stand for what they believe, people are gonna say they are crazy. They have been calling me that for years," he says in the video.
The trailer then teases a team-up between the newly-elected president and Saul Berenson. In the promo, Carrie also becomes surprised to see her mentor working as the National Security Advisor of President Keane.

The political drama series will feature the return of Claire Danes, Mandy Patinkin, Elizabeth Marvel, F. Murray Abraham, Linus Roache, Jake Weber and Maury Sterling as lead stars. The show will also introduce Dylan Baker, Morgan Spector and Costa Ronin as new characters.
