Reliance Retail is indulging into the Holi celebrations with its LYF smartphone series. Following the cryptic launch of 3 new LYF smartphones – Flame 2, Wind 4 and Water 7 – last month, the official pricing and specifications have finally come to light ahead of the festival of colours.
"The Holi Celebration Offer is an appreciation of the trust and confidence that consumers have placed in LYF. We will continue to constantly delight our customers with similar novelty factors," a Reliance Retail spokesperson said in an email statement.
During the launch of the new LYF smartphones, Reliance had confirmed that the handsets, which were set to launch in late-March, would make their way to retail stores in few days. But the handsets' pricing and specifications were kept in the dark.
Now, the Mobile Indian has managed to spot the LYF Flame 2, Wind 4 and Water 7 smartphones on the company's official website along with their complete specifications. According to the report, the Flame 2 is the entry-level handset with a price tag of Rs 5,549, while the Wind 4 and the Water 7 are priced at Rs 9,699 and Rs 18,750, respectively.
In terms of specifications, the LYF Flame 2 sports a 4-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front snapper and 1500mAh battery. The handset is powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage. The handset supports 4G LTE bandwidths with VoLTE, Wi-Fi Calling, Bluetooth and GPS.
The Wind 4 smartphone has slightly upgraded specs and features a 5-inch HD display, 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash and 2MP front snapper. The handset packs a massive 4000mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 28 hours of talk time on 4G network. The Wind 4 is powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage.
Finally, the most premium LYF Water 7 smartphone packs a 5.5-inch Full HD display with Dragontrail Glass, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper. To justify the high price tag, Reliance also included the industry standard fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone, which can be used to snap selfies. It is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 3000mAh battery and offers 16GB expandable storage.
The Flame 2 smartphone is available in black and white hues, while Wind 4 gets black, blue and brown colours. The LYF Water 7 comes in silver and gold colour options.
