Sunny Leone's first movie of this year, "Mastizaade", was expected to have a lot of skin-show and a heavy dose of double entendres, and the film has somewhat fulfilled that expectation. However, the skin-show in the movie outpaces the humour by many miles.
Directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, "Mastizaade" is an adult comedy starring Sunny Leone, Vir Das and Tusshar Kapoor. Sunny plays a double role — sizzling diva Laila and her geeky sister Lily — but looks super hot in both the avatars. On the other side, Vir (Aditya Chotia) and Tusshar (Sunny Kele) are two sex addicts who have the special power to scan any hot girl. Yes, literally scan.
The two accidentally come across Sunny's dual avatars, but their special powers do not work on the sensuous diva. That is when Aditya and Tusshar's characters realise Lily and Laila, respectively, are the love of their lives.
Laila and Lily together run a sex-addict rehabilitation centre, in which Tusshar and Vir get admitted just to get close to their loves. Things turn good for Tusshar very soon as even Laila is drawn to him, but he gets the shock of his life when he finds out even Laila is a sex-addict and does not believe in love.
On the other hand, Vir's hopes are also shattered when he finds out Lily is already engaged to a differently-abled military aspirant. Although this plot appears to be a love story, there is definitely more lust than love from all angles. Whether Tusshar and Vir get their loves forms the crux of the story.
Sunny's sensuous avatars and her bikini scenes are the USP of "Mastizaade". Although there are some good punchlines and double entendres, the film is not up to the mark in terms of humour. However, Sunny Leone's fans will definitely have a good time with the diva offering so much for the eyes. The movie also features Suresh Menon, Shaad Randhawa and Asrani. Riteish Deshmukh has a special appearance as well.
In a nutshell, "Mastizaade" does not have much to impress you with humour, but Sunny's appearance is something fans can look forward to.
