Life on and outside the basketball is difficult, and it feels like the VH1 scripted series is determined to explore this. "Hit the Floor" is scheduled to air its third season in mid-January 2016 and will tell the story of couples whose dreams get shattered because of jealousy, hurt egos and revenge.
The latest instalment in the series will focus on several relationships, including Kyle and Raquel's marriage. In the promo clip released ahead of season 3 premiere, the two ladies are seen bickering and arguing. Although Raquel apologises for losing her temper and admits that it's the stress of living under one roof, her wife Kyle appears inconsiderate. Kyle asks about dinner and berates Raquel for not preparing food on time.
Show creator James LaRosa was quoted by Indiewire as saying, "Season 3 is our Dynasty season. It's all about ambition, going for what you want, and going hard. And the stakes are high. It makes some strange bedfellows, and tears some relationships apart. The question will be, who's left standing in the end?"
According to the blog, the cast of season 3 includes Dean Cain, Kimberly Elise, Taylour Paige, Logan Browning, Valery Ortiz, Katherine Bailess, Jonathan McDaniel, McKinley Freeman, Rob Riley, Adam Senn, Brent Antonello, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe and Don Stark.
"Hit the Floor" will be aired on Monday, 18 January, at 9pm on VH1.
