TV actress Hina Khan and her beau Rocky Jaiswal have been vehemently slammed for a picture that shows the couple standing in front of a Ganesha idol with their shoes on.
The lovebirds are currently spending time together in Nashik. Both Hina and Rocky have been sharing a lot of pictures from the vacation, however, this particular photo got them into trouble.
Rocky shared the photo on Instagram with a caption reading "We continue to have an amazing time in this beautiful winery called @somavinevillage@regentaresortssomavinevillage #RoyalOrchidHotels. Thank you so much for such a wonderful treatment and mind blowing hospitality. Look forward to visit again soon [sic]."
The image shows the TV actress and her boyfriend posing in front of a Ganesha idol, without removing their shoes. As expected, they faced severe criticism from social media users, who lambasted the couple left, right and centre.
The post got a lot of comments as several Instagram users criticised them for "disrespecting" Lord Ganesha. Even their fans, who genuinely like Hina and Rocky, felt that the post was offensive and requested Rocky to delete it.
As Hina belongs to a different community, she received severe backlash for posing with her back towards the Hindu idol and with her footwear on. Nonetheless, Rocky has also been severely trolled and slammed for this picture. They have been ridiculed for their outfit as well, which according to many, was inappropriate for a picture with a religious idol in the frame.
