Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a rally in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday, said that everyone in the world is talking about the Indian Army. "We used to hear feats of Israel but now everyone knows our army is no less," he said .
PM Modi visited the state for the first time after becoming the prime minister. Soon after his arrival in the state, he dedicated three hydel projects to Himachal: Kol Dam (800 mw), Parbati ( 540 mw) and Rampur ( 412 MW).
"I had spoken here about OROP when I came here to campaign. Today in this 'veerbhumi', I can say that this right of yours have been given," PM Modi said while addressing a Parivartan rally in Mandi. His rally was conducted to call for a change in the upcoming assembly elections in 2017.
"One Rank One Pension was hanging for 40 yrs, and it is our govt which completed that work. Not only soldiers but their families bless me," Modi added.
