A high alert was sounded in Pathankot earlier this month as well after two suspicious bags were found a few yards from the military base. Mobile tower batteries were recovered from those bags during a search operation by the police.
In January 2016, a terror attack at the Pakthankot air base had claimed the lives of seven Indian Army soldiers and injured over 37 people.
