With rumours of Hero MotoCorp launching its new Xtreme 200S shortly in India getting stronger by the day, an image of the production-spec version of the model has started doing the rounds.
Xtreme 200S, the premium motorcycle of Hero could be launched early 2018. The model, which appeared as a concept at the Auto Expo 2016 has not been seen since then. That was before these rumours on its launch hit the web.
Now the folks at GaadiWaadi have managed to get hold of a picture of the Xtreme 200S and it reveals the production version of the model. From the image, the production-version of the Hero Xtreme 200S stays true to its concept version except for changes like replacing the carbon fibre in the bodywork with plastic. The dual-tone seat of the Xtreme 200S also seems to have made way to montone black colour seat.
Hero Xtreme 200S is expected to be powered by an air-cooled, single cylinder, four-stroke 200cc engine that can churn out maximum power of 18.5bhp at 8,500rpm and peak torque of 17.2Nm at 6,000rpm. The mill is expected to come mated to a five-speed gearbox and is likely to deliver a fuel efficiency of 45kmpl.
Built around a single down-tube frame, the Xtreme 200S will feature split-grab handles, a chunky silencer, an LED taillamp and an analog-digital meter console. It is likely to get disc brakes at both ends and also multi-spoke alloy wheels. Hero may also offer ABS as an option in the new 200cc motorcycle.
