Hero's new motorcycle, Splendor iSmart 110 has started arriving at the dealers of the company.
According to GaadiWaadi, the new motorcycle would be launched in India next week. However, the report did not specify the exact launch details. The latest images of the Splendor iSmart 110, which have started doing the rounds on the internet, show a new blue-coloured motorcycle in its fully revealed form. While most details of the motorcycle are already out, except the price tag of the model, the original publisher of the latest spy shots indicates that Hero is looking to price it around Rs. 55,000. The buzz is that the Splendor iSmart 110 would be priced at Rs. 51,500.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is the first bike made in-house by the company. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in February, the new offering is powered by an air cooled single cylinder 4-stroke 110cc engine. The engine, which can churn out 8.9bhp at 7,500rpm and 9Nm at 5,500rpm, comes mated to a four-speed gear box.
Hero is expected to launch the Splendor iSmart 110 in both monotone and dual-tone colours. It is expected to return high fuel efficiency. Hero's two completely in-house developed scooters, Maestro Edge and Duet, had made their market entry last year.
