Hero MotoCorp is reportedly planning to launch the Splendor 110cc iSmart soon and ahead of the launch the motorcycle was spotted at a dealership. The new version of the Splendour was unveiled at Auto Expo 2016 in February. The launch was rumoured in the festive season.
The picture taken by Gaadiwaadi.com shows the motorcycle in red colour. The show bike at the Auto Expo was draped in blue and black shade.
Hero Splendor iSmart 110, the first in-house made bike from Hero, is powered by an air cooled single cylinder 4-stroke 110cc engine. The powertrain develops 8.9bhp at 7,500rpm and 9Nm at 5,500rpm, comes mated to a four-speed gear box. The new 110cc offering of Hero is expected to be available in both monotone and dual-tone colours. It is expected to return high fuel efficiency and is likely to be priced at above Rs. 55,000 (ex-showroom).
Apart from the Splendor 110cc iSmart, Hero is reportedly working on a new commuter motorcycle for the Indian market, which would rival Bajaj's new CT100B. Hero's rumoured bike is expected to cost less than Rs 30,000. The bike, which is currently said to be in its initial stages of development, would be priced below Hero's HF Dawn. Hero HF Dawn has been priced at Rs 39,470 (ex-showroom).
