Hero MotoCorp, India's largest two-wheeler maker launched a new updated Super Splendor in the country with a price tag of ₹53,735 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
Powered by a single cylinder, four-stroke, air-cooled 124.7cc engine which can pump in a power of 9.12PS and a peak torque of 10.35Nm, Hero's new model Super Splendor claims a top speed of 90kmph. The bike has received several cosmetic changes from its previous model and will be available in six colours - Black with Electric Purple, Candy Blazing Red, Graphite Black, Heavy Grey, Vibrant Blue and Black with Fiery Red in the country.
Clad in a tubular double cradle type frame, Hero's new offering comes with telescopic hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and swing arm with five-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. It measures 1995 mm in length, 735 mm in width, 1095 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 1265 mm.
Earlier in March, Hero launched its Splendor iSmart motorbike in India with a price tag of ₹47,250 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Splendor iSmart, which comes equipped with stop-and-start i3S technology, packs 100-cc air-cooled, 4-Stroke Single Cylinder OHC engine. The engine can churn out a power of 5.74 KW (7.8 Ps) at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 0.82 Kg-m (8.04 N-M) @ 4500 rpm.
Recently, Hero also updated its Xtreme motorbike in India. The new Xtreme comes with a price tag of ₹68,725 and is offered in two varints- front- only disc model and the front and rear disc version. The bike packs 150cc, single cylinder; air-cooled engine, which can churn out a power of 14.4PS and a peak torque of 12.8Nm. The engine comes mated to 5-speed transmission and comes with both kick and self start options.
