Hero MotoCorp, India's largest two-wheeler maker has launched the updated Xtreme motorbike in India with a price tag of ₹68,725.
The new refreshed Xtreme comes in two variants-front- only disc model and the front and rear disc version. While the front-only disc model is priced at ₹68,725, the latter is available for ₹69,530.
The new model packs features like pilot lamps, a digital-analogue instrument cluster, first underseat mobile charger socket, dual finish exhaust muffler, redesigned LED tail lamps, engine immobilizer and redesigned LED taillights. Under the hood, the new Xtreme retains the same engine of its predecessor.
The bike packs 150cc, single cylinder; air-cooled engine, which can churn out a power of 14.4PS and a peak torque of 12.8Nm. The engine comes mated to 5-speed transmission and comes with both kick and self start options.
The bike will be available in four colours in the domestic market - blue, red, orange and white and has already hit showrooms across the country, as reported by OverDrive. According to various report, the company is also working on the Sports version of Xtreme, which will be more powerful than the current model.
Earlier in March, Hero launched its Splendor iSmart motorbike in India with a price tag of ₹47,250 (ex-showroom Delhi).The Splendor iSmart, which comes equipped with stop-and-start i3S technology, packs 100-cc air-cooled, 4-Stroke Single Cylinder OHC engine. The engine can churn out a power of 5.74 KW (7.8 Ps) at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 0.82 Kg-m (8.04 N-M) @ 4500 rpm. The bike is offered in four colour variants - Sports Red, Leaf Green, Excellent Blue and Heavy Grey.
In March, Hero had posted 11.9 percent increase in its total sales to 5.24 lakh units as against the corresponding month last year.
