Hero MotoCorp's upcoming 110cc scooters – Duet and Maestro Edge – have been making headlines for quite a while. Now it looks the waiting for the new Hero scooters is over, as the company has started sending invites for an unveiling event on 29 September.
Although the invite does not specify which of the two Hero models that have been spied testing on the roads will be launched, the image of an ignition dial on the invite indicates the unveiling of Hero Duet and Maestro Edge, suggest sources.
For the uninitiated, the Hero Duet and the Maestro Edge are likely to be powered by 110cc air-cooled engines that can dish out 8bhp of power and 8.5Nm of torque. The Hero Duet, which will take on the likes of Honda Activa-i, is expected to be priced at around Rs 45,000 and will come with features such as body-coloured mirrors and storage box in front.
The Hero Maestro Edge is expected to have five-spoke alloy wheels, 3D emblem and new digital-analog metre console. While the Maestro Edge will mainly target male buyers, Hero Duet will be a unisex scooter.
As already known, the Hero Duet and the Maestro Edge have started arriving at dealer outlets, ahead of the launch.
