Hero MotoCorp has reportedly begun the dispatch of the updated Super Splendor and Passion Pro motorcycle ahead of their expected launch during the festive season this year. Both the models, which are expected to get Hero's patented i3S technology are likely to be in the showrooms of the company soon.
Hero has confirmed earlier that the company will bring 15 new products to the Indian market by the end of this fiscal. Hero is also updating its Achiever motorcycle with the i3S technology, reports Gaadiwaadi. Hero Achiever in its new form is expected to be rolled out in September and will be followed by Super Splendor and Passion Pro.
The i3S technology automatically shuts the engine when idling and turns it on when needed with just one click. It also helps in delivering better mileage. The i3S technology debuted in 2014 in the Hero Splendor iSmart.
Hero Achiever 150 is currently sold with 149.2 cc air cooled, 4 - stroke single cylinder engine, which can churn out 13.4bhp of power at 8000 rpm and 12.80NM torque at 5000 rpm. This 150cc is offered in four colours—black, silver, grey and red.
Coming to the Super Splendor, the 125cc motorcycle gets 124.7 cc air cooled, 4 - stroke Single Cylinder at the heart, which can churn out 9bhp power and 10.35 Nm torque. It is available in eight colours. On the other hand, the Passion Pro comes powered by 97.2 cc engine and it delivers 8bhp of power and 8.05Nm of torque. In the new avatars, the bikes are likely to get mostly cosmetic upgrades with the i3S technology.
