The recently-held Star Parivaar Awards 2017 ceremony was a star-studded affair, with several television celebrities making glamorous appearances at the event.
While many walked out happily with their trophies, the event had its share of glitches as well. According to reports, host Karan Patel, who is popular as Raman Bhalla of Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, was miffed with the organisers.
Karan, who co-hosted the show with Arjun Bijlani, had to give several retakes for his portion of anchoring as there were some technical problems, which, in turn, delayed the actor. This irked Karan, who is known for his short temper.
"Karan's portion of anchor links were delayed because of technical problem. There was some issue with the teleprompter and the director advised him to do some retakes. Karan got upset saying, 'I'm giving you one-take shots, the problem lies with technicians'. He had to rush for the after-party even as many other re-shoots were happening," a source told DNA.
Reports also said that Devoleena Bhattacharya, who is the face of Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, threw tantrums despite having won an award. The actress, who plays the role of Gopi Bahu, was upset when the security persons failed to recognise her. Also, Shivangi Joshi aka Naira Singhania of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, irked the media when she made them wait for over two hours.
Shivangi and Mohsin Khan won the Best Jodi award, while Divyanka Tripathi took home the Favourite Maa award, and Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chanda walked away with the Favourite International Jodi award.
