South Indian actress Anushka Shetty, who is basking in the success of her recent film "Rudramadevi", is leaving for the US next week.
The actress, who had to put on at least 20 kg for her character in Prakash Kovelamudi's upcoming film "Size Zero", will be undergoing a weight-loss therapy in the US. She had to portray the role of a plump woman as well as a size zero girl in the film.
The actress will undergo the treatment soon as she is expected to join the sets of SS Rajamouli's magnum opus film "Baahubali - The Conclusion" by November.
"Anushka has to lose some weight before she joins the sets of Baahubali 2. She will undergo a weight loss therapy in US, and will soon leave to attend the same," a source told IANS.
Even though she was expected to leave for the US some time earlier, the trip was delayed due to the release and the promotional activities of "Rudramadevi". The historical film has been doing a roaring business at the worldwide box office and grossed almost Rs 55 crore within six days after it was released in 2,000 screens on 9 October.
Meanwhile, the Tamil version of Anushka's romantic film "Size Zero" is titled "Inji Iduppazhagi" and the film revolves around the struggles of a fat girl. While Arya plays the love interest of Anuhka in the film, Sonal Chauhan, Urvashi, Prakash Raj and Bharath will be seen in supporting roles.
Anushka also has a handful of projects in her kitty, including "Oopiri", "Thozha" and "Singam 3".
