A "Bang Bang" sequel without Hrithik Roshan in it had riled up some of the superstar's fans, but they can breathe easy now. Sidharth Malhotra confirmed he was doing an action film, but is unsure if it would be titled "Bang Bang 2."
Talking to Catch News, he said it wasn't entirely a sequel asserting that it has nothing to do with the first part. "It is an action film with Fox, so let's see if they plan to make it a part of Bang Bang franchise or no. But I promise you that the story has nothing to do with Bang Bang," he said.
The charming 31-year-old promised that the film won't be an intense thriller and will have a hint of comedy. Since the action is extremely real, the actor has been taking extensive training to fit the part. "I have actually started training for the film. I am training in hand to hand combat and martial arts so I am trying to pick up a different sport to hit people," Sidharth further elaborated.
To be helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the action bonanza will apparently feature signature action sequences (much like the original) choreographed by internationally renowned stunt coordinators. Also, it may star Rajkummar Rao in a negative role.
In other news, Sidharth is busy promoting "Kapoor and Sons" with Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan, and has recently wrapped up the Thailand schedule of Nitya Mehra's "Baar Baar Dekho," which also stars Katrina Kaif. Jacqueline, on the other hand, has "Dishoom,""Housefull 3" and "Flying Jatt" lined up for release.
