Here's why Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky are secretive about their romance

Kendall Jenner and A$AP Rocky have been in the midst of romance rumours for close to a year now, but they are yet to comment on this, despite photographs showing them getting cosy on numerous occasions.

At this year's Met Gala, Kendall and her beau found it hard to keep their hands off of each other, and in a photograph, the Victoria's Secret model was seen leaning against the rapper.

One of the reasons for their hesitancy to talk about their romance could be to avoid paparazzi's interest in their private time together. But things are set to change soon, according to a HollywoodLife source, who revealed that Kendall and A$AP, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, are ready to go public.

"Kendall and A$AP will be making red carpet appearances together in the future. They didn't want to start out under the media glare, so they vowed to take it easy at first," the insider said.

"They have a really strong mutual respect for each other and their relationship is extremely healthy. Kendall and Rakim are really excited about building a future together, and they are in a really good place."

However, according to a Life&Style source, a grand red carpet debut might not be in the works for Kendall and A$AP as they are likely to remain low-key.

"They are not in this relationship for publicity, so they won't want a big Kardashian production for the world to see," noted the insider. "Rocky actually keeps Kendall grounded and gives her time away from her crazy family," the source said. "He is a great escape for her."
