Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is currently in Mumbai to decide her next Hindi projects. According to reports, she has to choose between Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati" and Aanand L Rai's untitled film featuring Shah Rukh Khan.
The diva has to reject one of them as the dates of the two films are clashing. "Both the Bhansali project and Aanand Rai's next with SRK are very interesting films, with outstanding roles for Deepika. However the dates required for both the film are in conflict. Deepika will have to opt for just one," SKJ Bollywood News quoted a source as saying.
Deepika has returned to Mumbai to sign Bollywood films after wrapping up the shooting of her Hollywood debut, "xXx: The Return of Xander Cage." She then went to Budapest to shoot a dance number for Dinesh Vijan's "Raabta."
It had been reported earlier that Bhansali was willing to rope in Ranveer Singh and Deepika for the third time in his film "Padmavati." Deepika has worked with Bhansali in "Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram Leela" and "Bajirao Mastani," both of which turned out to be blockbusters.
On the other hand, Aanand's movie will feature Shah Rukh, with whom Deepika had made her Bollywood debut. The pair has appeared in films like "Om Shanti Om," "Chennai Express" and "Happy New Year." Thus, fans would be delighted to see them together again.
It is said that the scripts of the both the films – "Padmavati" and Aanand's untitled movie – are very promising, and Deepika has good roles in them. But both the flicks want the same schedule and it will be difficult for the actress to work in them together, so she has to choose one.
In Bhansali's film, Ranveer will reportedly play Alauddin Khilji and Deepika will appear as Padmavati. And in Aanand's movie, the actress might have to share screen space with Katrina Kaif as it is a two-heroine movie and Katrina has reportedly been roped in. SRK will be seen as a dwarf in the flick.
