Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be taking a quick break from her emotionally taxing and hectic "Sarabjit" schedule to celebrate the 67th Republic Day in New Delhi on Tuesday.
The former beauty queen-actress will be attending a grand luncheon with French President Francois Hollande, The Times of India reported.
Rai received an invitation from François Richier, the Ambassador of France to India and she will be representing Indian cinema at the do. "She will fly out on the night of January 25, post the shoot of her film," Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, her one-take shots for the Omung Kumar directorial are fast becoming the talk of the town. After leaving the sets teary-eyed, she recently filmed a scene at one go. "Aishwarya pulled off a two mins (minutes) performance-oriented scene so gracefully in one take, with no cuts and retakes, it was more like a real moment than a scene being filmed," producer Sandeep Singh told The Press Trust of India.
Slated for a 19 May release, the film features Randeep Hooda as Rai's onscreen brother. While most get a little intimidated working with stars who have decades of experience behind them, Hooda never had any such problems.
"I work with directors, never work with co-stars apart from being in the scene. My interest is usually in the director because he is the person I am working with...he is the person (with whom) I am holding myself and my character," Hooda told PTI.
