Sunny Leone has been signed on for an item number in Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees," but it won't be a walk in the park. The superstar's fitness trainer, Prashant Sawant, is making sure she looks like million bucks on screen.
"She has been training, wearing a compression gear T-shirt that weighs eight pounds. Her regime also includes functional TRX," Prashant told Mumbai Mirror, adding she works out with him every day before heading out for dance rehearsals.
The actress is on a high-protein diet, which doesn't allow her carbohydrates after breakfast. She reportedly survives on salads throughout the day. "She is eating chicken, fish salads through the day but everything is below 1,000 calories. Sunny is a determined girl so getting her into perfect shape hasn't been difficult at all," Prashant told the daily.
Sunny's special number is a rehash of "Laila O Laila" from "Qurbani," which starred Zeenat Aman, Feroz Khan and Vinod Khanna. From what has been reported so far, it will see Sunny wooing SRK in a sequinned gown and feathered headgear. The song fits because the story of the Rahul Dholakia directorial is set in the 1980s.
"The makers unanimously selected 'Laila O Laila' which perfectly fits with the dark, gangster theme and period. It was suggested to Shah Rukh and it was his idea to get Sunny on board. A lavish set is being created in Mumbai and rehearsals are on in full swing," a source had told Mumbai Mirror over a week ago.
"Raees" arrives in theatres this Eid, which has also been locked upon Salman Khan's "Sultan." Although rumours suggest there could be a clash, SRK had once said they could shift the date of his film's release. Mahira Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub feature in key roles in the SRK-starrer.
