Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan's friendship is believed to have faded. But reports of the superstar praising the latter on the thrilling Kaabil trailer will hopefully quash all the rumours of a rift between them.
Khan loved the Kaabil trailer and called the film's leading star to congratulate him. The superstar is said to have made a call to Roshan after watching the trailer.
Why two friends appreciating each other's work is supposed to be surprising
Khan and Roshan were thick friends, but their equation changed after the makers of Raees decided to put out their film the same day as Kaabil – January 26 2017. However, they have never gone on record to say that they do not like each other because of the impending box office clash.
Raees was scheduled to be out on July 6, but it was moved to another date because a few portions had to be re-shot. Khan said he had filmed most of action sequences while on an injury, because of which the scenes didn't turn out right.
The 51-year-old actor and Kaabil producer Rakesh Roshan recently had a meeting, sparking off rumours that the films may not clash after all. But it later emerged that the two had met to catch up on old times.
Directed by Rahul Dholakia, Raees will see Khan play a Gujarat-based bootlegger, a role he hasn't experimented with before. However, it is an anti-hero part, something he has perfected over the years. Khan began his career with Baazigar, Anjaam and Darr, and all three saw him play a killer and a stalker.
Raaes stars Mahira Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in key roles.
