Jacqueline Fernandez recently laughed off link-up rumours with Arjun Kapoor and clarified that they are just good friends. Speculations of the duo dating sparked when Arjun and Jacqueline were spotted spending quality time at IIFA last year.
It had been reported that the duo was more than friends and the actress built a good relationship with Arjun's sister Anshula as well. In fact, there were reports that "Ki and Ka" actor's cousin Sonam Kapoor played the matchmaker. Also, the duo walked the ramp together at Lakme Fashion Week 2016 as showstoppers for Manish Malhotra.
In a recent interview with a leading daily, Jacqueline said that she finds such rumours funny. "Sonam never tried to set me up with Arjun, it was one of those lovely rumours. Sonam was one of the first people I met in the industry and from childhood she knows everyone here. So naturally, she introduced me to all of them. She has introduced me to Arjun and Varun (Dhawan), too," the "Dishoom" actress told the Times of India.
"We are a group of friends now, and when these articles come out its really funny. We wonder which idiot opened his mouth, and did something silly or dumb. The good thing about having friends in the industry is that we also know what is going on in reality, so Arjun and I still joke about it. We say, 'Oh, we just heard we broke up!' Clarifying rumours with the person concerned is the most important thing, the rest don't count. Luckily, I have that equation with most of them to do that," she added.
Sonam and Jacqueline's friendship is known to everybody as the duo has been spotted together at events and parties together. And speaking about Arjun's relationship with Jacqueline, the "2 States" actor has been linked up with several actresses in Bollywood till date.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline is working on several projects, including "Dishoom" alongside Varun Dhawan and John Abraham, and "Bang Bang 2" opposite Sidharth Malhotra.
