Comedy-action film "Dabangg 3" has been in the news ever since Salman Khan said the third instalment would be a prequel to the first two. The latest update is the composers may have been finalised.
"The producers of 'Dabangg 3' have got in touch with Himesh Reshammiya for composing the music for the film. Himesh is game," a source told SpotboyE. This means Sajid-Wajid, who had given chartbusters in the first two editions, have been replaced by the singer-composer-actor.
The film's release date made headlines last year. Although Arbaaz Khan, producer-director of the franchise, had said the team is working out the details of how the film can be taken forward, there was a strong buzz that "Dabangg 3" would hit the theatres on Eid 2017. But the chances of that look slim given the fact that Kabir Khan's film "Tubelight" is also releasing on the same date.
A few months ago, Arbaaz had told Catch News the third film in the franchise would roll sometime next year as Salman has his hands full at the moment. "Next year we will start working for 'Dabangg 3.' Right now, Bhai (Salman Khan) is busy with some of his projects like 'Sultan' and others. So 'Dabangg 3' is in queue. I cannot say the exact time, but next year for sure," the web portal had quoted him as saying.
In other news, Salman has just wrapped up the final leg of "Sultan" in Budapest. The superstar and his onscreen love interest Anushka Sharma were in the Hungarian capital to shoot for a song. The sports drama film is scheduled to be out on Eid and has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
