Titled "Golmaal Again," the fourth instalment of the "Golmaal" franchise will be shot in Goa and wrapped up in a matter of three months (December 2016 to February 2017), Catch News reported. Rumour has it that the cast and crew may jet off to a foreign location for a short schedule sometime in February.
What else do we know about the film?
While Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Kunal Khemu, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade have been roped in for the central cast, director Rohit Shetty is yet to finalise a leading lady. For a brief period of time, there was a strong buzz that Kareena Kapoor Khan would be part of the film; however, later reports suggested that Alia Bhatt has been approached for the role.
Here's what the young actress has to say about being part of the project: "I have not received an offer. I would love to work with him (Rohit Shetty) though."
Also going around was the gossip that the comic caper is a remake of the hit Tamil film, "Soodhu Kavvum." However, the publicist of "Golmaal Again" dismissed the rumours, saying the reports were baseless.
About Kareena being part of the film:
Some say the actress was being considered for a part in "Golmaal Again," but she couldn't commit. Kareena will be taking a maternity break from October onwards, and it will coincide with the shooting schedules of Rohit's film. Apparently, the 34-year-old star will work only on Rhea Kapoor's "Veere Di Wedding" and a string of commercials this year.
"Golmaal Again" is expected to hit the screens on Diwali 2017.
