Television couple Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya, who got engaged in a hush-hush ceremony Jan. 15, is all set to take their relationship to the next level.
It had been reported earlier that the "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" couple will tie the knot in July or November this year. And now, the latest reports suggest that the lovebirds are planning an elaborate Hindu traditional wedding. "We will go with the traditional approach. Divyanka wants a proper ceremony in the traditional way and I am cool with it," Vivek told Tellychakkar.com.
The actor, who plays the role of ACP Abhishek on the show, also disclosed the wedding location, which would either be Chandigarh or Bhopal. As for their television friends, both Divyanka and Vivek have planned to host a grand reception in Mumbai soon after the wedding.
"We haven't zeroed that down yet. We are still working on the possible dates. It's considerably hot in Chandigarh during July. So, we are still thinking about it. We have to check our conveniences as well. The practicalities have to be worked out for us to take a long leave, we will have to give about three to four months' notice. When we shoot every day, it becomes difficult for them (makers of the show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein) and we will have to shoot and keep a bank of episodes," the actor added.
Meanwhile, there were reports that Divyanka and Vivek have been approached to participate in the eighth edition of the celebrity dance reality show "Nach Baliye." However, the couple is yet to decide on it.
In other news, "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" is gearing up for the long-impending leap. The show will soon take a seven-year leap, after which Ruhi (played by child artiste Ruhaanika Dhawan) will be seen as a teenager (played by Aditi Bhatia). Interestingly, as the story progresses after the leap, the viewers will witness Ruhi growing up to hate her Ishi-ma (Divyanka). The teenager will instead grow closer to the antagonist, Nidhi (Pavitra Punia).
