Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan had to turn down movie offers due to her pregnancy. The recent buzz is that Kareena was offered a period drama on the life of Rani Ratnavati of Bhangarh, Rajasthan, but she rejected it and it reportedly went to Sonakshi Sinha.
The film will be about the stories surrounding the popular haunted place in Rajasthan and about the beautiful Rani Ratnavati. It will be the first time that Sonakshi will be seen in a period drama. According to a Filmfare report, the producers are trying to rope in Abbas-Mastan to direct the film and Nawazuddin Siddiqui has already been signed.
The report suggests that Kareena was approached for the role but she said no to the offer saying that she was four months pregnant. It looks like Kareena's loss has become Sonakshi's gain. However, there have been no official confirmation regarding the movie and the star cast.
Meanwhile, Kareena will be seen in Rhea Kapoor's "Veere Di Wedding," alongside Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania. It is said that Bebo will flaunt her baby bump in the movie, which will go on floors next month. According to reports, the makers of the film knew about Kareena's pregnancy since the beginning.
On the other hand, Sonakshi's kitty is full of projects. She will be seen in A.R. Murugadoss' "Akira" alongside Anurag Kashyap and will also appear in "Force 2" opposite John Abraham. The diva will star opposite Akshay Kumar in "Namastey England" as well. She will be seen playing a journalist in her upcoming flick "Noor." There were reports that she has signed the remake of Rajesh Khanna's "Iteffaq" alongside Sidharth Malhotra, and the film will be produced by Shah Rukh Khan.
