Kerala, the God's own country, is facing its worst natural disaster in a century as heavy rains wreaked havoc in almost every part of the state.
The massive floods have left 357 people dead while lakhs have been rendered homeless. The Kerala government, the Indian Air Force, NDRF and NGOs are doing their best to help the victims of the floods but there are a bunch of jobless haters who are spewing venom on social media.
These people are resorting to posting hateful comments on social media and urging everyone not to donate a 'single penny' to the state.
While some people are asking not to donate to the Chief Minister's Distress relief fund as some of it may go to minorities, some are calling the floods as God's revenge on Keralites for eating beef and allowing women to enter the Sabarimala shrine.
So, what exactly caused the floods?
The reasons, according to haters can be many! Beef..beef is the number one reason. The fact that Keralites love eating beef has caused the floods. Or is it because the state has too many Christians who like to live life on their own terms and couldn't care less! No, no wait, it's because Lord Ayappa is angry with the Keralites. After all, they did kill a cow publicly! Didn't they?
And if these haters are to be believed, no one should donate any money to the flood victims.
"Why do you need to help Kerala when most of its people work for oil companies in the Gulf region and for Islamic organisations?"
"Don't help Kerala because the money will be used by Rahul Gandhi and other communists for their own parties!"
"Don't donate a single penny to Kerala as the money will be used to kill cows!"
"The BJP government should not give them any kind of financial aid since the state never once voted for the NDA!"
And the haters continue to come up with the most pathetic reasons there could be!
Fun Fact: The list of haters also include an RBI official. Yes, you read that right! S Gurumuruthy who was appointed as a part-time non-official director to the board of the Reserve Bank of India by the centre on Aug 7 also feels that the floods are a result of letting menstruating women inside Sabarimala temple.
