Bollywood actress Tabu looked stunning in the first look of her upcoming film "Fitoor". The actress is playing the character of Begum, which is the Indian version of Miss Havisham, in the Indian adaptation of Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations".
Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor brings fresh pair of Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur on-screen with his upcoming film. "Fitoor" has been in the news since the beginning when Rekha was replaced by Tabu for the role of Begum.
Earlier, it was reported that Rekha walked out of the film after completing half the shooting as she felt that she didn't look betther than Katrina in the flick. It was also reported that Rekha said she has other projects, thus, she discontinued the shoot of "Fitoor".
Now, there are reports that the real reason of Rekha leaving "Fitoor" is that the character of Begum in the film is very similar to what Rekha is in real life and so it was very difficult for her to play herself on-screen, according to sources.
As the film progressed, the actress started realising the similarities between the character and her real life, thus, she decided to opt out of the film. The report further suggests that the similarity between Rekha and Begum's character will be evident once the trailer is out on 4 January.
The character of Begum, which is now played by Tabu, is of a heartbreaker and a seductress. Sources reveal that even the look of Tabu in the film, which audience will get to see in the trailer when released, is also inspired by Rekha. However, Tabu has garnered appreciations from all quarters for her look in the film.
Meanwhile, Rekha and the "Fitoor" team have been tight-lipped about the former's leaving the film. "Fitoor" is a love story where Aditya will portray Kashmiri lad Noor and Katrina will be his ladylove Firdaus. It is slated to hit the screens on 12 February.
