Hemanth Rao is game for his second directorial venture. After his hit Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu, the young filmmaker is returning with a thriller, which will be produced by Karthik Gowda and co-produced by Puneeth Rajkumar.
The project is in the last stages of the pre-production works. "The scripting work is almost completed. We will begin the project by the end of June," Hemanth Rao told International Business Times. The casting process will begin from next week.
"The actors are yet to be finalised and the audition will start next week," he confirmed. When asked whether the untitled movie will be made with youngsters, he said, "It is going to be a mix of young talents and experienced artistes." He clarified Puneeth Rajkumar is not acting in the movie and the Power Star is just producing the flick.
The movie was earlier titled as Ardha Sathya, but it will change as someone had already registered it. To avoid conflict, the makers decided to rechristen their film. "We will announce the new name along with the first look next week," Hemanth Rao adds.
His first movie Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu was an emotional drama, but the latest flick belongs to the thriller genre. "This story has lots of layers. It has fast-paced narration compared to my debut flick. Emotions will be part of this film as well. The whole idea is to basically explore the thriller from the human perspective. We are giving importance to the emotional struggles of the characters, which rarely happens in thrillers," he concluded.
The untitled flick has Advaitha Gurumurthy's cinematography and Charan Raj's music. Other technicians are yet to be finalised.
