People in Tamil Nadu have been facing one of the worst floods ever with incessant rains throughout the state. Chennai has reportedly received 47 cm of rains in the last 24 hours.
Actor Siddharth and actress Kaniha, who themselves are the victims of the sudden flood, have been actively helping and sharing updates about the situation in Chennai.
Through their Twitter handles, Siddharth and RJ Balaji have been seeking the help of volunteers in different parts of Chennai.

Following the sudden flooding of Buckingham Canal, Kaniha has been evacuated with her family, but is actively helping the victims of the flood.
"Supplied food packets, bread, biscuits, candles, matches, sanitary pads, milk and water. Thousands being given shelter in this church in injambakkam VGP layout ECR. Planning to cover ECR areas..ppl willing to volunteer pls pls inbox me...pls willing to donate pls be generous. Thousands are starving," Kaniha posted on her Facebook page.
She has also started a fund raiser campaign titled "Help our people of Chennai'. "As a Chennai Resident, well, as a human being, I'm requesting my friends, fans and family to donate generously towards this cause. This is our duty to help our beloved people in need. I'm raising these funds and donating every penny and more to Chennai Rain Relief 2015 - CRR. They are doing a wonderful job in helping the needy. Please donate generously," the actress writes.
Malayalam actor Dileep has reportedly made arrangements in sending five tanker lorries with water for the people in Chennai.

While Suriya and Karthi have donated Rs 25 lakh, Vishal, Dhanush and Rajinikanth's Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust have given Rs 10 lakh, Rs 5 lakh and Rs 10 lakh respectively towards the TN relief fund.
Meanwhile, actors Allu Arjun has promised that he will donate Rs 25 lakhs and Mahesh Babu has reportedly contributed Rs 10 lakh to the relief fund.
Actor Nikhil Siddhartha's "Shankarabharanam" team has sent food and medicines worth Rs 5 lakh to people in Chennai.
