Kajol is back in a Bollywood film after her 2015 outing with Shah Rukh Khan in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale. The film is her own production, Helicopter Eela. The film's posters had intrigued fans with what the story could be about, and on August 5 on the occasion of Kajol's birthday, the trailer of Helicopter Eela was released at an event in a Mumbai cinema multiplex. What is the trailer like? It is fun! Helicopter Eela is a mother-son story, and also about how a mother should follow her own vocation after the kids have grown up. Kajol is back with her amazing screen presence and will definitely make the film worth a watch.
Kajol plays Eela, mother to Vivaan (Riddhi Sen), a college-going son. Eela enrols in college in the same class as her son, it seems to be able to be by his side and keep a watch on him. Or just to learn something new. When the grown-up son objects to her being there in his life 24x7, the mother feels dejected and is advised to detach herself and follow her own calling (in this case, singing). This is what Helicopter Eela comes across as from the trailer. But the film tells the tale in a funny way and Kajol is the soul.
Riddhi Sen the actor had won the National Film Award for Best Actor for the film Nagakirtan. He looks apt to play Kajol's son in Helicopter Eela.
Having pointed out the good things, here is what we also feel. Well, it seems Helicopter Eela is one of those movies where the entire story is revealed in a longish trailer. We hope there is much more to the movie than just what we see in the trailer and a good ending.
