The Season 7 midseason finale of CBS' Hawaii Five-0 will see Chin rushing to Mexico to save his niece Sara after he learns that she has been kidnapped. The midseason finale is expected to end on a cliffhanger and speculations are rife that either Chin or Sara will die at the end of the hour.
"We're building to a pretty big midseason finale cliffhanger in Episode 11," showrunner Peter M Lenkov revealed to TVGuide in an earlier interview. "We've never really done that, by the way, sort of end on a cliffhanger midseason. So we're trying that this year."

This Friday's episode will begin with Chin in high spirits as it's his birthday. But in the midst of all the celebration he will learn that Sara has been kidnapped, which will leave him unhinged, said Daniel Dae Kim.
"The fact that he goes to save Sara without even telling the team is a first," the actor told TVLine. "The team means everything to Chin Ho, so the fact that his paternal instinct kicked in and he just took off in the middle of his own party, and in a state of panic, says everything. That's something he's never done before, and it's very unlike his character."
Chin has come to see Sara as his own daughter and he was even ready to adopt her. So this kidnapping really shakes him up, and it will showcase a side of Chin that viewers have never seen before.
Season 7 episode 11 is titled Ka'ili Aku, meaning Snatchback, and the synopsis reads: "Five-0 races to Mexico where Chin puts his life on the line to rescue his niece Sara from kidnappers."
Hawaii Five-0 airs Fridays on CBS.
