South Korean actor Lee Ki Woo and South Korean actress Lee Chung-ah are going strong despite break-up reports. Representatives for the celebrities came forward and cleared the reports regarding their relationship.
According to Allkpop, the labels stated: "Lee Ki Woo and Lee Chung Ah, who are in a public relationship, are still seeing each other well. There were breakup rumours going around earlier this year, but they are not true. It seems rumours went around due to the fact that they do not refer to their dating lives via SNS."
Lee Ki Woo and Lee Chung Ah first met while filming the 2011 series Flower Boy Ramen Shop. The duo started dating in real life in 2013.
The 36-year-old actor's label stated at the time: "The two advanced from peers to lovers in the beginning of this year. He'll do his best to show that he'll work hard on both love and career."
Lee Chung Ah's side revealed: "Lee Chung Ah has been participating in the celebrity ski team and became something more with her peer Lee Ki Woo. They got closer at the beginning of this year, not a year ago."
In 2015, during an episode of South Korean talk show Taxi, that airs on tvN, Lee Ki Woo shared how their friendship blossomed into romance. He said: "I live in the same neighborhood as Lee Chung Ah."
"In the beginning, whenever Lee Chung Ah said 'Let's meet sometime in the neighborhood,' I misinterpreted that gesture and thought that she was interested in me. This was because I already had feelings for her. However, at that time, Lee Chung Ah was just being friendly and did not mean anything special by those words. Nonetheless, I asked her out and things turned out great," he added.
When asked about marriage plans, he replied: "There are a lot of burdens both of us hold from our individual acting careers. Chung Ah should focus on her acting right now. She is a hard worker and is absolutely beautiful. Therefore, she will do well in her acting."
As for the couple's professional life, Lee Ki Woo played the male lead in JTBC drama, Just Lovers. The 33-year-old actress was seen in MBC variety show, Rural Police 3.
