Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra starrer "Hasee Toh Phasee" witnessed a jump in its business at the box office on the second day.
Director Vinil Mathew's film has gained momentum at the domestic collection centers, and it's positive word of mouth that is helping in the collections of the romantic comedy.
The occupancy on the film's second day (Saturday) increased by 40 percent at multiplexes, though its business at single screens is almost in the same range as Friday. However, the earnings from multiplexes have seen a huge jump on the second day. The box office circuits in Metro cities have seen improvement as expected.
On Saturday, "Hasee Toh Phasee" made a business of around ₹6.40 crore. The combined two day domestic total of the film now stands at ₹11.25 crore. [Read the first day report here]
"#HaseeTohPhasee Fri 4.85 cr, Sat 6.25 cr to 6.40 cr. Witnesses 30% to 40% jump on Day 2. Metros are super-strong," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The film will put up a good opening weekend figure as the business is expected to grow further on Sunday.
The romantic comedy witnessed a jump on the second day in international circuits as well. In UK and Australia markets, the Saturday business is double than that of Friday.
"In UK and Australia too, #HaseeTohPhasee Sat biz is almost double of Fri biz. Upward trend continues," Adarsh added.
The romantic comedy is produced under Dharma Productions and Phantom Productions. It also features Adah Sharma, Manoj Joshi, Sharat Saxena and Neena Kulkarni in important roles.
