Romantic comedy film "Hasee Toh Phasee" has registered a good opening weekend. After having a dull start, the film picked up its pace at the collection centers during the weekend.
Parineeti Chopra and Sidharth Malhotra starrer "Hasee Toh Phasee" has accumulated ₹18.5 crore in three days.
The rom-com opened on a dull note with ₹4.90 crore, but the collections went up on Saturday to ₹6.30 crore followed by a good Sunday with ₹7.30 crore.
"#HaseeTohPhasee Fri 4.90 cr, Sat 6.30 cr, Sun 7.30 cr. Total: Rs 18.5 cr nett. India biz," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
The first weekend earning of "Hasee Toh Phasee" is in the same range of "Yaariyan" which featured new comers. However, Sidharth-Parineeti film has earned a respectable number from the first three days run due to its low budget and limited release.
Also, the film was released along with three more films, but the other films failed to kick start at the box office.
The film was targeted at multiplexes audiences and it did perform well in theatres. But collections from single screens remained low.
The way the film has shown a growth over the weekend, one can expect "Hasee Toh Phasee" to maintain a steady pace during the weekdays at domestic market.
Meanwhile, Shekhar Suman's debut directorial film "Heartless" which was released on the same day has failed to attract the audience.
The film managed to gain some decent reviews, but the opening weekend earnings are disappointing.
