Kannada superstar Upendra, who has acted in "S/o Satyamurthy", seems to have been ignored in the film. It appears like the makers wanted to present the film like a complete Allu Arjun film and have given good publicity to him and avoided Sandalwood's Real Star.
The murmurs on Upendra being ignored started after the teaser and trailers were released. In both the video clips, the Real Star does not have much presence and this has upset his fans. Especially, in the recently released trailer, the makers have presented the film like an out-and-out Allu Arjun's film.
The video clip shows Allu Arjun in stylish avatars and introduces almost all the characters in "S/o Satyamurthy". Only on few occasions, the Kannada star makes appearances, and it passes away so quick that people hardly notice it.
Upendra plays one of the leads in "S/o Satyamurthy" in the movie. But there is also an argument that Uppi's role could be kept as a surprise package.
However, in that case the makers would not have released Upendra's looks and photos from on the sets, believe some of his fans. Earlier, it was said that Uppi was doing the role of an antagonist but now he is expected to have done a character role, which has both good and bad elements.
Upendra has a decent fan following in Andhra Pradesh but his presence will benefit the movie in Karnataka big time.
"S/o Satyamurthy" is directed by leading Tollywood filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas and jointly produced by Allu Aravind, DVV Danaiah and S Radha Krishna. Rajendra Prasad, Prakash Raj, Samantha, Sneha, Adah Sharma, Nithya Menen, Brahamanandam, Pavitra Lokesh and others are in the cast.
The movie has Devi Sri Prasad's music, Prasad Murella's cinematography; Prawin Pudi is the editor of the film.
