Sushant Singh Rajput seems to be riding high these days.
With his "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy" receiving positive responses for its brilliant script and storyline, the actor has added another feather to his cap.
Sushant has become the brand ambassador of a popular automobile company replacing Ranbir Kapoor.
"Sushant has completed shooting for the ad and he recently did a photoshoot for the same. Sushant is the new face of the car brand," a source told DNA.
When contacted by the daily, Sushant said: "I couldn't be happier. It's a very good team to work with and I have always been a car lover. This is just the perfect package. I haven't had too many chances to dance in my films. But in the TVC, people will see me dance. The ad has a very different concept."
According to the report, it was apparently Ranbir's arrogance that cost him the endorsement. However, reports also suggested that the brand intended to experiment with new actors.
With Sushant replacing the "Barfi" actor, one can't help wondering whether Ranbir is losing his charm among the audience, considering the fact that his latest release "Roy" failed to garner appreciation. Moreover, the actor was away from the big screens for over a year after "Besharam" (2013), which too bombed at the box office.
Meanwhile, Sushant apart from the endorsing the car brand, has sealed a few more deals with three brands in the last few months.
That's not all, the TV actor-turned-Bollywood star has some big projects in his kitty as well.
Sushant is now busy with Neeraj Pandey's "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story", which is based on the life of Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni. He will also appear in Shekhar Kapur's "Paani".
