Director Karan Johar, who was said to be planning a launch pad Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in one of his upcoming movies, has apparently confirmed the buzz now.
Karan is very close to Shah Rukh's family and the renowned film-maker considers Aryan as his "godchild". Karan, who has launched several successful stars in the industry, said that he will have to be a part of Aryan's debut movie.
"Aryan is young. He has four years of university left. After that he will decide what he wants. Right now, one shouldn't burden him with anything. I have told him that if he ever decides to do movies, I have to be part of his launch. I will force myself into that because I love Aryan," Karan told Filmfare.
Expressing his fondness for the star kid, KJo added: "He's my godchild. I have seen him growing up. He is as old as my career. He was born after the first schedule of 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' on November 12, 1997. For me Aryan is beyond films. He's more than family to me."
Previously, Karan has launched Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan in "Student of the Year" under Dharma Productions. All the three are now big stars and have been much successful. Karan is currently in news for his movie "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" that is slated to be released on Sept. 9.
Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan, the movie is a romantic drama and brings back Karan as a director after a long time.
