It is believed that Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan do not share a good relationship due to the former apparently becoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali's favourite actress after preferring the former Miss World earlier. However, latest reports suggest that everything is fine between the actresses now.
Aishwarya had earlier featured in SLB's big movies including Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas and Guzaarish. However, in all his latest movies including Ram Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, it is Deepika who was offered the roles.
This shift in preference of Bhansali had reportedly caused difference between Deepika and Aishwarya. Nonetheless, a different picture came to people's notice at Isha Ambani's pre-wedding ceremony recently.
It has been reported that the two divas bonded with great warmth at the event, and not just spoke to each other, but also danced together.
"The ice didn't just break between Aishwarya and Deepika. It shattered into smithereens. Aishwarya and Deepika talked nineteen to the dozen, danced together and had a great time. They looked like two inseparable pals. I still remember how the two of them royally ignored one another at Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 50th birthday party. Aishwarya made sure to leave the minute Deepika arrived," The Asian Age quoted a source as saying.
On the work front, Deepika has recently signed Meghna Gulzar's upcoming movie Chhapaak, which is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. She is also rumoured to be seen in erstwhile mafia queen Sapna Didi biopic.
On the other side, Aishwarya is all set to reunite with husband Abhishek Bachchan after eight years for a film titled Gulab Jamun. It will be directed by Sarvesh Mawra.
